Prompt September 8th

Prompt response: One time when I was younger, there was a tree in my yard, it was a big tree, but it was more like a bush, in how it's branches moved, they bloomed out. I loved climbing it, whenever I did this dust would be left on my palms because the tree was infected with something, one day, I fell, right above the concrete path. And my pants caught me, my pants got caught on the tree and I was hanging there, from my pants, above the concrete. Summary: Today we read a poem and annotated said poem. Reflection: I learned about how complicated being a poet is and how hard it is to be a good one.

Summary: Today, we reviewed and annotated poems, mostly about death. Reflection: I was surprised to learn that Emily Dickinson wrote so many poems about death and that she did not title her poems, but instead numbered them.
